I don’t know about UK law, but most non-compete clauses are smacked down in court in the US.

Keyword here is British, which leaves the door open for American, German, Australian, etc shows. Most likely an American based show though because Netflix recently changed their ticker symbol to ($$$) or possibly Amazon.

Yeah so make a show with Netflix, that would make it American, they can film anywhere. They could film stuff in the UK as long as the show was not UK based I would think.

An attorney friend of mine once told me non-competes “never” stand up in court. He is a fairly successful labor attorney, so he’s probably seen a few of these first-hand.
